Owning Your Home with Confidence

šŸ˜ļøOwning your home with confidence!šŸ˜ļø

Home ownership comes with its fair share of ups and downs, but it’s something that is ultimately enjoyed.Ā  Whether you’re maintaining a newer home, or renovating an older one, having the right people in your corner is a MUST!Ā  Some elect to tackle repairs and changes themselves, learning the right process(hopefully) as they go; while most decide to farm out the necessary repairs and upgrades to the well-known and educated professionals in Northwest Arkansas.Ā  So I’ve put together a short list of business’s that have been recommended by our very own community, so you can make a well-rounded decision on who to trust with your home.

Fences and Decks

First up, focusing on your home’s curb appeal, hiring the right business is important.Ā  You not only want the work to be safe and long-lasting, you also want it to function safely!Ā  Mo’Joe Construction, based in Goshen, Arkansas, specialize in new fence installation and repairs, as well as deck work!Ā  Their work is nicely showcased on their Facebook page, Mo’Joe Construction is known for customer satisfaction and quality of work.Ā  It may be ā€œjust a fenceā€, but we’ve all seen the importance of having quality craftsmanship; try to remember how many fences were destroyed during the May tornadoes, and the ones that weren’t. Quality matters!

Roofing

When was the last time any of us took the time to look at our homes roof, let alone inspect it for wind/hail damage?Ā  It’s so easy to forget it’s even there, until a leak happens…then you become a reactive home owner, instead of being a proactive home owner.Ā  ā€œAn ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!ā€; roof repairs and replacements can be costly and invasive on our day-to-day, but it can easily double in cost once that water makes its way into your attic and ceiling!Ā  This is why choosing the right roofing company is important.Ā  And this is exactly what Infinite Roofing LLC specializes in!Ā  You’ll notice they also work with solar power, which is a nice asset to have.Ā  At the end of the day, being on top of the ball and having the right insurance coverage can keep safe and comfortable.

Electrical

More often than not, we don’t tend to our homes electrical components.Ā  Did you know that residential electrical wiring lasts for roughly 50 years, on average, with proper maintenance?Ā  That means checking electrical connections on your light switches, outlets, fixtures, and breaker panel on a regular basis.Ā  But let’s be honest, maintaining one’s electrical components isn’t exactly on the forefront of our minds…but I guarantee it IS for True Blue Electric LLC!!!Ā  If there is any part of your home that you have to skimp on when planning for maintenance, the electrical isn’t it; it NEEDS to be done right, to ensure you and your family are safe!

Plumbing

Like electricity, our homes’ plumbing is ā€œout of sight, out of mindā€.Ā  It’s one of the many things that help us all enjoy the safety and security of our humble abode!Ā  Could you imagine living in a home WITHOUT running/hot water?!Ā  You should; close your eyes and imagine your home doesn’t have a shower, toilette, sink, washer or a water heater…scary, right?Ā  Like everything else, maintaining your plumbing is a lot cheaper than repairing/replacing it!Ā  It is important you find someone who knows the plumbing industry, and respects your home as much as you do.Ā  Enter Moretto Plumbing and Design!Ā  They have fine tuned their craft with customer service and professionalism, ensuring your homes plumbing is functional and safe for the long run.Ā  They are one of the most reputable companies in Northwest Arkansas, and their Google ratings show it.

HVAC

Your homes central heating and cooling system(s) are getting more and more efficient as time goes on.Ā  We use it to heat or cool our air throughout the 4 seasons, and to circulate the air to freshen up the atmosphere a bit.Ā  I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say ā€œyour AC/Heater will NEVER break down at a convenient time!ā€Ā  These systems are designed with annual maintenance in mind; annual cleaning of its coils, and checking the electrical components is important!Ā  I’ve personally seen systems still going strong after 40 years of use because they were annually maintained; I’ve also seen newer systems(5-10 years old) that needed to be replaced due to negligence.Ā  When you search for a local HVAC company, you’ll see there are a lot to choose from…so choosing the right one can be hard at first.Ā  This is why I’m recommending The Heat and Air Team!Ā  They came highly recommended in the survey I ran on Facebook, and having been an HVAC tech myself, I know how to spot a less-than-desirable company. They’ll help home owners understand the need for regular maintenance and air filter changes(every 4-6 months) for each of their customers.

Summary

The important goal of this blog is to help home owners as they learn property ownership and home maintenance, because it is intimidating!Ā  And the above recommendations are just a select few of the available companies that are worth your trust and business.Ā  We’ve all learned the value in having the right professional, even through passing conversations, close friends and family members have said ā€œI have a guy/gal for that!Ā  You should call them, they did amazing work for us!ā€Ā  Proactive home ownership takes some getting used to, but it’s definitely worth it in the end.Ā  And remember, you don’t have to hire someone if you don’t trust them; it seems obvious, but sometimes we get overwhelmed with needed-repairs, and the thought ā€œI don’t care, just get it doneā€¦ā€ can sway things a tad.Ā  But you have a choice, you always do āœŒšŸ»šŸ˜Š
